New to me 79 Starfire 4

I just received this 1979 Starfire 4 from a fellow LTG enthusiast, it’s beautiful with what looks to be Birdseye maple under the finish.

Magnificent. I almost bought that one. What’s it weigh? Those tend to be heavy but they sound like a million bucks.

Thanks! It weighs 10.0 pounds on the bathroom scale. A little surprising, I was expecting a little lighter for a hollowbody. Sounds nice though, well made and beautifu!

If it's any consolation that's not heavy for one of those. My buddy has a '79 (bought new in '80) and it must be 12 pounds. When I handed him my '78 that weighs about the same as yours he immediately commented, "wow - it's so light!"

I just played it for a while unplugged and it plays beautifully. The body is a little wider than a 335 (I had a 335 that I bought new in 79, had it for 30 years or so). I like this guild though!
