Sold 3 very nice guitars on consignment earlier this year - couldn't help myself, got the store to divert some funds towards a new Epiphone 'Inspired By Gibson' Hummingbird in Aged Cherry Sunburst with optional hard case. It arrived yesterday.

Shout out to 'The Acoustic Centre' in Melbourne, Australia - they were absolutely fantastic selling my guitars and setting up this new one.

That's a beauty! I love the look of the case, too!

Looks really sweet. I imagine it plays and sounds pretty good. Gonna be hard competing with the SJ200 though.

It's a really good value solid wood guitar for the relatively low $799 with out case but it's not a Gibson.

Put it this way, my Epiphone EJ-200 makes some nice ripples on the water, this new Epiphone Hummingbird pushes those ripples into white caps but stand back because the Gibson SJ-200 is a tsunami.

Congrats Bruce! That looks very nice indeed. I’m guessing it’s made by the Indonesian factory Epiphone (Gibson) uses. I believe it’s owned by Samick, and they are capable of building a very good guitar at just about any targeted price point.

Here’s a shot of my Indonesian-made Epi EL-00 Pro from 2016. A great low-cost travel guitar (15” lower bout, 24.75” scale) with solid mahogany top & laminated mahogany back & sides, and surprisingly clean workmanship for $299 (at that time):

A friend of mine got one of these and I got a chance to play it a few weeks ago. It had great tone. I owned a Gibson hbird a long time ago, and his epi sounded a lot like it.
