So Chaz, maybe I shouldn't trade my 77 F50R in on one of the new ones?
Like that would happen.  Steffan

It'd take a hellofaguitar to blow mine away Chaz. I hand picked it after about 2 years of looking, and bought it new....maybe one day someone else will own it, but she'd be a hard one to let go. I hope, in a way that the new ones do give it a run for the money, very few guitars do. Steffan

Thanks Ac1d If you look closely you will see dent in the top where my idiot roommate closed the case one time but didn't latch, guitar fell on the open top when I picked it up...he still lives, but it was iffy for a while...I may actually sell it one day, but it won't be a giveaway. Action is great, and its all original..Steffan

oh, yeah. i see the dent now. stupid roommate! :x

then again, that's the "guitar history" we've been talking about. i mean, it's nice to have mint, but i think sooner or later, every guitar gets at least one little scar...

Right, Thankfully it can be filled, and there is no crack that went along with it so, along with a couple of finish cracks on the top since new, and a few pick scratches, again, not mine...she is remarkably beautiful, and sounds that way too....not bad for going on 33 years old....and still not needing neck work, I've always used lights on her...and even then....what a voice..... Steffan

Some real nice F50R's here.

Love mine to bits. 1980 model.

Man, they can sing....well, mine warbles but that's more because of the player and not the guitar.

Even some of the Tacoma D55's didn't sound like Guilds. I almost bought a beautiful
antique burst D55 earlier this year. I had a friend & Guild owner go check it out for me.
He told me it didn't sound like a Guild. It was a fantastic price too, <$1k.

Later, an LTG'er went to the same shop, played it & drew the same conclusion.

Sure was pretty though.

Frosty is exactly right. Changes need to be un-made.
