Just happened to stop by the guitar joint today to pick up something I dropped off yesterday, yadda, yadda, yadda. Pulled the F50 from the rack, played it for a while, and put it back.

It was then that my roving eye strayed to the right and caught a glimpse of  what I knew to be a cedar top. Before I knew what was happening, I had fallen in love with  a Taylor GS5! I felt so filthy! But boy oh boy, does that guitar ever sound/look/feel sweet! And then I walked away.

Now, I'm semi-afflicted with a touch of TAS. What's next, swine flu?? As filthy as I might have felt, I know there are quite a few Taylor aficionados here so I don't feel totally bad! Just looking!

Joe, I had a GS6 (GS-MS, actually) from 2006. It's the maple version of that guitar. They are terrific!

Hi Joe, so if that means you'll be walkin' across the border on Monday, let me know what time so I can pick you up ....You see I'm just that kind of guy, and I know you like birds so this ones for you.

I was coming home last week when I came across a truck that was broken down, on the side of the road. Being the good guy that I am, I stopped to see if I could help the guy out somehow. Well the only thing that was really concerning him was getting these dozen or so penguins to the zoo. He offered me a hundred bucks to take them to the zoo for him. Well OK then, if thats what you want, for a hundred bucks, I'm your man.
I came across the same guy at a mall the following week, he had gotten his truck repaired, and he asked me if I got the penguins to the zoo...I told him I not only got them to the zoo, but I had enough money left over to take them to a movie too!

See you soon, and are you bringing that sweet little 15 with you, the D15 I mean.  Steffan

That's quite a story, Steffan. I feel like there's a punch line hidden somewhere in there.
The trade didn't happen so I'll be driving across the border tomorrow, and I'll be packing either the 25 or 50, but not the sweet little 15 (another punch line, perhaps?).
I'll give you a call in the morning, which is supposed to be a wet one, from what I hear. Oh well.

Stay tuned,
Joe

Joe, I'll bring my Corona Mahogany 25, if you bring you're 25 It might be a neat comparison, or the 50 too. Mine has the flat back, I'll have my little motorhome complete with heat, so at least we'll have a little cabin to play in. I'll bring my old Sony Hi8 too. Lookin' forward to it sir. Tomorrow our assignment, should we choose to accept it, will be to determine if great minds think alike, of if fools seldom differ.  :D Steffan

Sounds good to me. Do you want to just pick a good spot (park, etc?) in Surrey? I can just as easily swing through there as White Rock. Your call.

Steffan,

I've done a couple of presentations for the White Rock Surrey Naturalists at Bakerview Park on 154th St. Why don't we just plan to meet there? It's easy off the King George and should work just fine.

And you say?

Great! Let's just shoot for 10 AM right in front of the main building at the park off 154th. Then we can figure out the rest.
That'll give me time to get across the border and the possibility of a strip-search. I have a favorite border guard and she gives good....search!
