hi. just bought a "ghost label" Troubadour from a FIRST TIME Ebayer. Please keep it (and me) in your thoughts as it bonks it's way from Albany to Alabama in the summer heat. thank goodness it's going Priority! I asked to please loosen the strings and call me if he has any questions about packing vintage guitars. this old guy fills 3 holes... a Hoboken, a Hog, and a parlor-esque. god I hope it doesn't need a lot of work

Congrats, fretless, on your Hoboken M-20! And, good thoughts coming your way that it arrives safe and sound!

WW. where did you find this CF Martin quote. It's awesome! thanks for the encouraging words. I'm hoping he'll at least put it in a box! the ghost is the only label I want stuck on it!

Toni: Slight correction, a Troubador was the F-20, the M-20 was the Economy.
Ralf
Duh, I knew that....but, it didn't 'register' when I read Troubador, ghost label......I just went to M-20! Double-dumb stupid here ----> :stupid: ::teehee::

Well, to be fair to old CF, I made that quote up but it sure sounds awesome. What us the story behind the ghost labeling? Like earliest guild labels ever? Any way, I can't wait to see pics of the guitar.

Fretless: Nothing ventured, nothing gained. A classic risk/reward proposition.

Woody: I confess that I actually Googled that quote and did not find a citation. Hilarious!

Toni: I, personally, don't think it looks like a ghost as much as it resembles the Singing Nun.

Neal, I laughing right now. And the singing nun comment. Really. I hope some folks from the Martin forum don't nail me to a wall.
