Can't get a picture to load right now, Jake, but the presentation style pins stick up a little higher hence the "presentation". I've found these fit perfectly in my Guild dreads, and the black ones with paua abalone dots look really sweet on the ebony bridge of my DV-52.

Dread, you have a site where you bought them & part #? I have a white set in my DV-52 I got off Ebay several years back but don't have a part # for them. Not sure if they are regular style or the presentation style.

Thanks Dread, just looking at their site confuses me. When I did a search on Guild I saw a D-55 listed but nothing came back. They didn't list the DV-52. I see that they show different shank diameters, etc. Are the ones you linked all the same measurements or are there presentations that have different diameters & so forth. I don't remember what I bought on Ebay some years ago & have no idea if they are regulars or presentations. Don't remember if they said they fit Guilds or what. Just bought them. I think they were a little tight going in but they worked. I'm going to change my DV-52's strings soon & then I'll get a better look @ them. I don't have a calipers to take a perfect measurement.

I may wait awhile as I'm still w/o work & living on my unemployment & a few hundred I get once a month from a sign store who made a deal with me for my customers & hard drives w/ all my saved work. Also had to get some cash from my CD in June. spending more than I get. My frigging Tranny needs replacing in a '98 Explorer w/ 108K miles. That's going to cost about what the vehicle isn't worth & I need a bunch of expensive dental work. I tell ya, it's almost like having to take a "dump" every 3 hours.

Jake, I believe all the presentation pins are the same size, and they fit my Guild dreads like they were made especially for them. In fact, they fit better than any pins I've ever had, nice friction fit, and you don't need to push down on them at all.

Dread, I looke at my DV-52 last nite & I'm ashamed of the brown strings. The Tusq pins I have are white w/ the abalone tops. They look to be the presenatiom style as they sit up higher. There is a small amount of the groove showing were the string sits but they are down as far as they can go. I see a little of the sting also. I had it gone over & set up at my luthier last year & he did put new strings on it. I think last Summer. Put in a bone nut & lowered the action as it was too high. I think he also slotted the bridge at same time as I can see the small cuts. My D-55 isn't like that. It has holes w/o slots.

It didn't sound bad but once I get strings on her she will growl like a beast again. My fingers are just too damn sore @ this time from working on my bike Sat for 3 hours & still never got a bolt to thread back into the fender whell & catch. My thumbs, index & middle fingers feel like I've been sanding them. I need to let them heal a bit before I start playing with strings. Also got my back & legs in a tizzy & could hardly walk Su. My legs were going into spasms & cramps all Sun nite.

just wait 'til you start getting old, Jake :D

Dread, that's what I've been worrying about since I was 30 laying on the floor for one month. Actually spent 2 B'day's in a row flat on my ass w/ my back. That was before it had the 2nd 3rd & 4th surgeries. I got so many problems with my frame & spine it sucks :!: I use to think what I would be like when I got 50. Been there & now I'm 62  I don't know what I'll be like if I make it to my Dad's age. He was just 91 on the 9th & can barely walk around. He just went thru another fall last week flat on his face on concrete & looks like he's been in a fight.

All I can say is, "I'll dance 'till I can't". I'm not good but at it for 2.5 years & I sure like holding on to these sweet young ladies. 8)
