Gotta be acoustic. My current band, "The Hip Replacements:" (Guitar, Mandolin, Bass, Harmonica, Drums) add a fiddle and a dobro, maybe even a sax/flute player. We would have lots of fun. I know all these guys except a dobro player, maybe I'll call Jerry Douglas, LOL.

Getting close. I had drummer, bassist, a friend who plays banjo, and dobro and myself over last Saturday and we played in my backyard to ourselves, the neighbors and about 10 vaccinated friends we invited last minute.

Some tunes we played:
King Of the Road
Harper Valley PtA
Some Dark Hollow
Wild Horses
Dead Flowers
Brown Eyed Woman
Friend Of the Devil
Panama Red
Dust in a Baggie
Glendale train
Lonesome Fugitive
Bartender Blues
If I Had a Boat
On the Road Again
Melissa
Knocking On Heaven's Door

All the guys want to get together again and work on song structure and harmonies. Not gonna call us a band yet. Don't want to jinx it by giving it a name. Really nice to jam again! to quote Robert Earl Keene, mentioned in another thread, "Feels so good feelin' good again."

I've got two dobros. They're even Guilds. Can't play them worth a damn, though.

Wow! Between Dread and crank, you have most of my bands first set! We are all over the place, mixing in a bunch of Velvet Underground and a hand full of surf tunes! We have WAY to much fun!
Maybe soon we can play in front of actual people!

And out of your list I usually play Willin'.
Played Folsom Prison Blues in many a band and jam. Fun to sing a verse of Pinball Wizard to it.
Do Crazy with my acoustic pop group, on hiatus.
truck Driving Man was on our list but we never got to it. I sometimes play it in E like Commander Cody and in G if I'm singing.

My capitol t isn't capping. Funky stuff going on with my old Macbook.

We're looking forward to a gig in August, a Client Appreciation picnic for a Retirement Investment firm. It is a decidedly geriatric crowd...but then so is my band. There will be about 300 in attendance. We'll get paid $150/man and we also get to partake in the BBQ spare ribs with all the fixin's. Plus, we get to do all our favorite songs! Nobody should have more fun than us.

I have played this gig with various bands for going on 20 years now. A few times it was my Bluegrass band. Last year, no picnic due to Covid.

If we get lucky, our bass player and high harmony singer will do "Hats Off To Larry." He already sings "Runaway."
