My best friend for 11 years had to go down today. I adopted him when he was 5, so he had a good long life. He was a good boy. RIP Frankie Five Angels.

So sorry Scott, and I know I can relate. This is Rugby, AKA the greatest dog EVER

We lost him to Degenerative Myelopathy (doggie MS) in 2007, and it was the hardest thing either of us have ever had to endure.

Scott,
So sorry to hear the sad news.
We had to let our pug, Thelonious, go on the 1st this month.
It's been a rough few weeks without our little buddy
Hang in there,

skinny

So very sorry, Scott (& Sandy and skinny). I always raise a pint to the good ones.
Cheers to Frankie, Rugby & Thelonius.

Sorry about your loss. I've had my Sasha goin' on 11 years as well. Don't know what I'll feel once she's gone but I'm sure it won't be a good feeling.

Peace

So sorry for the loss of your friend, Scott. A few years ago we had to put down our golden, Sadie, as she was losing the battle with cancer. One of the toughest things I ever had to do, we had her for 14 years. :(

I suspect God gave us dogs to teach us about unconditional love.

I hope at some point in the future you can welcome another companion dog into your life.

I feel the loss with you, Scott. I have said good-bye to several of "man's best friends" over the years. As sad as today is, so is the fullness of the memory of time spent with such a special creature. May you have many more such memories.

Sorry Scott ... I know it hurts.

We lost our beloved Lola this spring ... I still haven't gotten over it. :(

A couple years after Sadie died, we lost our little Maltese/Yorkie, Cricket. We didn't have a dog for a couple years after that, then one day we decided we needed some canine companionship again. We got these puppies just a couple months apart, Koko and Mocha, Koko is a female Goldendoodle and Mocha is a male Yorkie-Poo. Quite a pair, I believe they think they're the same size. More laughs than a barrel of half-witted monkeys.

I lost a best friend too several years ago Scott. Before I owned 'Lucky' I couldn't see myself ever morning the death of an animal. But I sure did then. I think it shows just how 'human' we can be. If you don't morn your not human
