I would expect that some of you would have seen way better than this but this is a first for me.

I don’t have any camera equipment. These are from my phone stuck to a tripod taken last night.

No more boring Alice ;[]

Yeah, yeah, yeah

Lyrics

Well, we had a lot of luck on Venus
We always had a ball on Mars
We're meeting all the groovy people
We've rocked the Milky Way so far
We danced around with Borealis
We're space truckin' round the the stars

Come on, come on, come on
Let's go Space trucking
Come on, come on, come on
Space trucking

Remember when we did the moonshot
And Pony Trekker led the way
We'd move to the Canaveral moonstop
And everynaut would dance and sway
We got music in our solar system
We're space truckin' round the stars

Come on, come on, come on
Let's go Space trucking
Come on, come on, come on
Space trucking

The fireball that we rode was moving
But now we've got a new machine
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, the freaks said
Man those cats can really swing
They got music in their solar system
They've rocked around the Milky Way
They dance around the Borealice
They're Space Truckin' everyday

Come on, come on, come on
Let's go Space trucking
Come on, come on, come on
Space trucking

Come on, come on, come on
Let's go Space trucking
Come on, come on, come on
Space trucking

Yeah, yeah, yeah, Space trucking
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Space trucking
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Space trucking
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Space trucking
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Very nice. A couple nights ago I saw the crescent moon pretty close to Venus. Quite a sight!

Yes, very cool mushroom!

I've never seen the northern lights and didn't even know there was a southern version of same.

Southern Hemisphere.
Ahh, gotcha. You're seeing the "southern lights". The Aurora Australis.

Enjoy. I love a good light show provided by Mother Nature. I'm the occasional star gazer type that will set an alarm for 3 am on a work night if there's supposed to be a meteor shower. Then you are standing in your driveway in your underwear at 3am, staring up at a blanket of clouds, and you go right back to bed. Such is life.

Yeah that’s awesome.

I’ve got a bad view to the south. I believe those on the southern tip of the island got some pretty nice shots.
Corinth NY (43.2445° N, 73.8323° W) isn't that far north really, but last night was really clear.

I need to find something worth taking a picture of in the sky, now! I feel left out. I don't think the interwebs would still work, if the northern lights showed like that in Southern Cal. " Don't worry deary, the Sun is just throwing a temper tantrum. It's be fine in a decade or two. "

Wow, I'm at 48° N... Unfortunately I'm halfway down the south side of a mountain, so I've got no view to the north.
