I guess you need the snow if you want any knid of privacy ;-)
Here's another article that shows the option for more privacy. :)

I thought of Bubble Boy, too, Dave. It does seem like a unique camping experience, though.

All due respect across the board, that hardly looks like 'camping' to me. More like 'campy' than anything else.
Don't think L.L. Bean and REI are going to jump on this one.

Just sayin',

Probably not, Joe. I think it's for those who want a 'unique' camping experience. This site is an hour outside of Paris and offers haute cuisine and champagne. Not the usual fair on camping trips I've been on.....you know, hot dogs and smores. :D

Now, that's my kind of camping... but is there room service?

That sounds like Mrs. Two's kind of camping. She won't go anywhere she can't plug in her hair dryer!

My philosophy about camping: Hike, fish, trudge all day; linens and crystal at night. ::::tada::::

From what I can tell from a few articles, I don't know if there is room service, but each 'bubble camping site' is near a major restaurant/inn...to ensure there are creature comforts and amenities (at avg. 109 euros/night).

The closest I get to camping these days is at the guitar camp we go to in the Summer over on the Kitsap peninsula in Washington State. Rustic (but nice) cabins by the lake, good food (all you can eat) and pickin' all day and night unless you want to take a break and go fishing or hiking around the lake.

Cripe, you could even be feeling pretty darn brave if a marauding bear comes into your camp site. Quite a stark contrast to our camping trips to the BWCAW here in N. Minnesota.

Hey, le francaise camping is roughing it compared to some of the Yurt lodging here on the left coast. From my visits to France, what I recall of the idea of camping was all the German & English tourists and their small camping trailers packed into the french version of KOA Campgrounds.
Here's a link to an upscale Yurt "camping" adventure: http://www.treebonesresort.com/

With two boys who went through Boy Scouts, I would have *loved* to have had that on my many camping trips.

Not for them, for me!!!

Maybe not, but the way it was perched on a deck made me think, yeah, I want one of those on my deck over the lake for a winter sunroom! I could play my guitar outside in freezing weather! :D
'Course, first, I'll have to get a house. With a deck. I could compromise on that part about the lake.

The Exhibitionist Model.

I hollered, "Don't look, Ethel!" But it was too late. She'd already been mooned.
