Well, there goes MY incentive to burp and fart less. All it gets you is to the dinner plate!

Mainly a problem for vegetarians - methane comes from rotting vegetation. What with all the farting ungelates and volcanic eruptions, our human greenhouse emissions must be like a mere pi$$ in the ocean (to mix metaphors)

Does anyone else see how backwards this logic is? If they fart less, shouldn't we eat the animals that are causing problems?

The logic is, we need to breed/raise whatever we eat, so if we ate more kangaroos and less beef, we'd be raising animals that produce less gas.

At least, that's what I think the logic is..

Clearly. I was only cracking a joke. On a more serious note, I wonder how the 'roos would react to feedlots. I prefer range animals myself for a plethora of reasons, but sadly most food production is done in the most compact medium possible.

Somewhere in past posts is a pic of a Bovine, personal methane, recovery system. Might have been an Aussie or New Zealand project, it's a gem.

Meanwhile, our Tejas Brothers are on "On It"
