As far as "made in Mexico..." I'm in the restaurant business to earn the money to buy guitars (HA HA) and here's two observations: 1 my kids are the hardest working guys in the world. 2 Mexico of course has a long and storied history as a producer of both players and stringed instruments. You all see where I'm going...an instrument made in Mexico is probably a fine product as long as the design and production standards are set high and then maintained. Cheaper labor and tax breaks...oh well...that's a reality of 2009....

I have seen Baby Taylors in Guitar Center with both Made In America and Made In Mexico on the labels. Also the 100 and 200 series guitars.
I think that it is a law that the guitar has to be labeled from the place that it was made.

I have a vintage Framus parlor guitar and the label not only states that it was made in Bavaria, but there's also a scale drawing of the Guitarwerke where it was made.

Jawohl, no doubt about it,
Joe
