My brother has a hobby, heading towards a retirement business, restoring, fixing, buying and selling Kit Cars. Most, like this one, are built on a VW chassis/engine. I drove up to Inverness yesterday, bought this toy and drove it back to St. Pete. It needs some minor mechanical work. Plus a bunch of small cosmetic jobs.

Fun to drive, but a couple of hours of wind noise, engine roaring away a few feet from my head was just about enough :!:

Gosh, you are right on top of the engine as you drive, aren't you?

You think you could fit some sound-deadening material in the engine compartment, or is it too tight a fit to do that?

Might be able to do a bit of soundproofing. My brother will be taking charge shortly. I'm just the delivery guy

What is the original car supposed to be? The front end looks like a MG-TF, but not the bobtail? Qu'est que c'est?

Good question. The design is "inspired" by a Bugatti. The rear end and fenders are a bit different from the original.

I want one of the '39 SS (Jaguar) kits to tool around in.

If I could squeeze into it, that is.

I hear 'ya. I would love to build a Thunder Mustang, but since I doubt I could fit in the real thing, I think my chances of fitting in a three-quarter scale version would be nil.
