This is an original 1997 Fender Jimi Hendrix tribute Strat. This is the first model that is lefthanded and factory strung for a right hander. These guys don't fall out of trees so you don't see them very often. It is based on Jimi's white '68 Strat and features a maple cap neck and F tuners. I bought it off a touring musician that was a lefty and he had converted it for a lefthander. It came with loaded a series of Seymour Duncans and the original pickups. I converted it back to a right hander and Paul Iverson cut a new bone nut. The bottom horn also has a strap button hole filled from being played lefthand. I have replaced the pickups with the originals and had to lengthen one pickup lead. Appart from new strap buttons the rest of the guitar is 100% orginal. It comes with the original inspection hang tag, trem bar, wiping cloth and the original case. This guitar has been played over the years so it has some player wear, it also has the strum scars from a lefty on the pickguard. The neck has some wear on the fret board and 2 lighter patches on the 14th and 15th fret. It is also missing the backplate.

It features all of the '68 Strat details, maple cap neck, large headstock, 3 way switch, aluminum shield and the knobs even have that nitrate green tinge to the numbers.

It plays like a champion and those pickups have that late '60s tone.

This guitar is the real deal built in 1997 and is definately an investment, the price goes up every year.

Asking $1500 OBO, open to offers and trades for pre 1996 guitars only.

I noticed that , too!
So, it was converted, then converted back, pickups changed & changed back, strap buttons moved & moved & holes filled, etc. ad nauseum, but other than that, it's all original!?
