What a difference a mere four years makes! Here in the video clip below is Jimi in 1965 as a backline R&B guitarist before Chas Chandler took him to England and did the Carnaby Street Psychedelic Major Afro-Dude make-over on him - Psychadelic-Eye for the Shy Guy.
There had been a dumping of vintage military surplus gear, including dress uniforms some of which dated back to the 18th Century in style at least. These ended up in Carnaby Street shops. And then we have JIMI! A time and culture shifting alien, a high ranking officer in the Psychedelic Extraterrestrial Hussars who fell to earth and lived among us for an all too short while.
