I must admit, in the past, I wasn't always a huge fan of Mr. Cash. Turns out I am now, especially some of the material he recorded jtoard the end of his life.

"That Lucky Old Sun" is is a song he (and many others recorded) that I just love. I've been working on it and I think I have a passable version now.

Here's Johnny!!!

+1. I always liked him, loved his '60's TV Show. But his later "American Recordings" with Rick Rubin are just outstanding. His version of Sting's "I Hung My Head" and Springsteen's "Further On Up the Road" blow me away.

And, of course, the emotional recording and video of "Hurt". He's only 71 in this video, he died 7 months later.

I love music from all the different periods of his career, but I agree with walrus. The American Recordings with Rick Rubin are really something special.
