Just started hitting all the music stores and pawn shops, and lucked into a case that fits the M-65 perfectly!
It's a TKL case, made for some sort of Ibanez guitar.

Nice case (and guitar!). I have a TKL case for my ES-135 - they are great cases!

Boy, I can't say anything but congratz! After some of the gymnastics I needed to go through to get a case, That's amazing!

It was a funny thing. I went into "Guitar Haven" which is a combination guitar shop/thrift shop down in Melbourne. The owner (Howie) is a great guy and often can be the source for things hard to find. He took one look at the M-65 and said "Good luck finding a case for that. I don't have anything, but you're welcome to look through the cases". So, after about half an hour of hunting and test fitting, I found this case. Howie was as surprised as I was.
And yeah, Sandy. I think I'll keep it, unless somebody wants to swap a 50's era Guild acoustic in similar shape.

Would you mind sharing the TKL product number - that's an amazing fit, and it would be cool if we could find one in a pinch.

LA, I wish I could. There's a little plastic tab on the accessory compartment lid that says "TKL", and "Ibanez" was painted on the side (which I've already removed and replaced with a sticker that says "Guild") but I find no numbers of any kind.

The case TKL makes for the Gretsch Duo Jet and Pro Jet works nicely for an M-65.
In fact it might be the same as the case that Dave found, only with a Gretsch nameplate.
Search for Gretsch G6238 duojet case......
Here's a link to one......they are on the expensive side but I've seen them on sale for a bit less on occasion.

Nice score and a great case, although when I saw the headline, I was expecting something vastly different than a new guitar case.
Immediately made me think of a colleague's wife, who plays on a women's hockey team. A while back, she scored her first goal, and to commerate the event, the team gave her a t-shirt that said: I SCORED LAST NIGHT!
Anyway, sorry for the veer into tthe gutter. Again, great find on the guitar case for that beautious sunburst M-65!
