Yeah, I have watched some of his videos, years ago, really interesting and great player. Nobody plays a shovel like him, nobody.

The maple handle shaft shovels have much better tone than the hickory ones. And the newfangled ones suck compared to vintage. Personally I prefer the neolithic models with the shovel blade made from an auroch scapula. Much better tone. And don't get me started about the ones with plastic blades.
