Will Cordoba engrave the serial numbers in the backs of head-stocks again? Sure would like to know the answer to this one.

I'd kind of like it if they put a serial number some permanent place that doesn't show. Maybe the neck block? I know, rationally, that it makes no difference. How often is a stolen guitar recovered using the serial number? Rarely, I imagine. And, dating? We put of lot of effort into that, but does it really matter? Condition, sound, playability matter but in the final analysis, date of manufacture is really just fodder for curiosity.

That is a great suggestion! IMO, that is one of the things that was lost after the transition to Tacoma.

I think identification is a very important aspect of production. Certainly in expensive, joined-neck guitars like the Traditional Series I think there is real value in that.

Taylor was looking at tiny RFID tags embedded into the guitar somewhere, which is a good idea, but a visible brand is better.
