I recently picked up a 2022 D40 Traditional GSR from Guitar Center and I would like to know what are the specs or features of the GSR.
I tried to ask Guild in Oxnard about it via their web site but the contact page does not seem to be functioning. The guitar appears to be a standard production D40 Traditional Antique Burst with a factory installed pickup. I am wondering if the pickup is the only special feature of the GSR. I checked in with Ralf about it but he did not have documentation of the particular GSR. Does anyone know if Guild keeps records of the GSRs and do they share that info? The guitar sounds amazing but it's pretty dried out. Hydrating it for a while before I get it properly set up. Pic below.
