How to distinguish Guild case eras

A while back I posted pics on photobucket that give my estimate of the years when various Guild cases appeared. I'm re-reposting this not only for newbies, but also for veterans in case they missed it.

That would be a fun and useful list to have. I have noticed a trend with the cases for '86-'87 Guild arch tops where the stencil people didn't seem to care about orientation. (it clashes with my OCD)
Here is the case for my '86 x-170
