How much would it cost to rent a late-50s Guild?

While putzing around on the Interweb, I came across something called Hollywood Studio Rentals, where were are two late 1950s Guilds available for rental. Considering it's Hollywood and they're vintage, I can't imagine how much renting them would cost.

I thought Starfire's were introduced in 1960?

Rental is an interesting concept, like renting golf clubs, I guess - you want to play a gig, but not take your guitar? Seems like a pretty small market, but maybe not. No idea what it would cost, although they must charge for insurance, right?

I have thought about this myself. A few years ago, I had to play a wedding in Vegas and thought about the possibility of renting a guitar instead of taking one. Ended up taking my GAD30R due to its familiarity. Still a cool idea but wonder about limitations.

I'll venture a guess that this outfit targets studios or players who might need a particular guitar for a particular song or album but don't want to sell out the thousands of dollars it would cost to buy one. And I was wondering myself about the 1958 date on the Starfire. Perhaps Hans could shed some light on the discrepency.

It's cool that these Guild guitars are cool enough to be wanted for "rental". If you wanna know how much they rent for.... call the company. They're in North Hollywood, in the San Fernando Valley.... give them a call. Unless you really just wanted to wonder........

That's what I was thinkin'..how'd ya like to get ahold of that twangy trebly thing they used on the soundtrack of "For a Few Dollars More" for instance?
ANybody know what that actually was?
