Well I have finally conceded to remove the original speakers From my maverick 2 x 10 and pop in a couple reissues. After considering leaving them alone and getting an extension cab, I have come to my senses and will just go ahead and replace them while the originals are still worth saving. They are not blown, but really starting to sound "tired" and I have gotten more out of them than I ever imagined.

so the amp claims to be 40-50 watts although I have read here those tubes can only put out about half of that. Either way, it's loud. From what I know now, I think the new Jensen reissues would sound most like the Mav sound, but I am not positive. Depending on which ones fit, they will likely by far be the cheapest. I'd be open to other speakers, but my real question is the wattage. My understanding is i need (2) 8 ohm speakers wired together for 4 ohms. So how many watts should each speaker be?

the Jensen C10Q is ceramic and 35 watts. The Jensen P10Q is alnico and 40 watts. To be honest I am not sure if the original CTS are ceramic or alnico, or of the wattage. But they have sounded amazing until recently. Still sound great but they are on the other side of the hill...

i also read Weber Chicago vintage and warehouse veteran speakers are good choices. I'm open to suggestions but the big thing is how many watts? Thanks! And thanks Default for the prior info/emails.
