Here is how I temper GAS......
1. Do NOT go on EBAY.....no play, no pay......no try, no buy
2. If I try out a new guitar, I bring my favorite Guitar. The new guitar better be as good or better, or leave it.
3. I MUST learn 10 songs ......words, chords, leads, bass runs, etc...., by heart, between purchases. If I'm only buying and not playing....something is wrong
4. Bring a guitar playing friend (who is NOT an enabler) to your try out sessions for an 'unbiased' opinion other than the salesman
5. Do not duplicate guitars.....if you have a great Dread.....why buy another (or three or four)??
6. Get married (have kids).....those of you who ARE....understand what I mean
7. Spend your money on guitar lessons.......
8. Assess your herd.......maybe one or two good guitars are better than 10 mediocre guitars???
