Here's an odd one

Strangest donation I've received so far for Guitars For Vets. Someone dropped off this home-made one-string bass at the music store for us. The box appears to be made from plywood/floor underlayment and the neck is hogged out of a single piece of aluminum.
The neck is probably worth more as scrap metal than anything! But the darn thing actually works reasonably well.

Evidently works pretty good as a drink holder too. :lol:
