I like to cook, and I like to use fresh herbs, which I grow myself....basil, green onion, thyme, rosemary, flat leaf parsley, and oregano. My favorite is fresh mozzarella on top of a slice of a nice beefsteak tomato with some fresh basil, fresh oregano, extra virgin olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Oh. A few beers. Then a little rotisserie pork on the barbie (boneless Boston Butt, which is actually a shoulder cut) smothered in thyme, rosemary and lots of garlic. Or maybe a nice ribeye on the grill with some fresh chimichura sauce (fresh chopped parsley and olive oil, grated romano cheese and minced garlic), Oh.
I lived with a professional chef for 3 years. She taught me how to cook and I taught her how to........have fun. I got the better deal; I can still do both.
