Just got an OM240CE and according to Guild they do not make a hard case for that model. Anyone have a recommendation?

Did you look on the Guild website? I'm sure they make a HSC that will fit that model. It's a really popular model, so......

Quick search shows Sweetwater offers different levels of cases, but this one is reasonable and looks to be a good value: CASE

That's the one I was hoping would fit. Love that green velvet. I contacted Guild directly just to make sure and they say none of the hard cases fit the OM line.

Type "Guild OM240CE case" into Google or any search engine and it'll show you a TON of choices!! I don't know what they're smoking over at Guild that they'd say they didn't make cases to fit because they sell them. That link I posted shows measurements so get out the old tape measure and start measuring and see.......

Guild is a factory that makes guitars. What you need is retail help. If you call Sweetwater, tell them what you need. They're there to help you. But measure your guitar first and see if it will fit. If they send you a case that doesn't fit, you can return it.

Guilds site doesn't show an OM case just Concert which is Guilds "M" which I believe is too small.
That eBay listing I posted above has the Guild logo on it and for OMs

Call Sweetwater. They are really good there and they may even be able to tell you if anyone can.

If you want green velvet interior - try this one:
It will fit a Taylor 214 case. I believe this one has the Guild logo too.

Sorry, F30 is right. I always think the m is the same as om but as they have showed you there are cases to be had. I think the Martin gpc12pa4 12-string is an OM size and we have one in the house, I should have known the difference. But the martin case for that is super nice so that or the Taylor case .... I have one of those too. Sorry, I was mistaking the size as an M which it's not. (y)

They actually sold me my Taylor Grand Concert 8 (12 size, concert) with a 14 sized case, which is the Taylor Auditorium, so after I got home I went "What??" because it was knocking around inside the case and went back and they gave me the right sized one. So I should know about that. I'm still getting used to Guilds names.... M, OM, and on and on.... but does M mean the size or the wood, or does the number mean the size, or what? I get so confused on the new ones.

I think it's hysterical that the Martin 000 or OM sized case listing shows a case with GUILD branded on it..... we already know they don't make one so, WTF. I give up.

How do you like your om240ce? I've kind of been thinking if I was maybe a tad intoxicated and the moons aligned, it would be a super nice addition to the stable...... damn!!

I liked that Guild you posted on Ebay...but since Guild doesn't make a case like that I assume its a fake. I contacted my guy at Sweetwater and he confirmed that none of the Guild cases fit the OM line. He suggested a Gator hard case and I ordered it this morning. Still think it's weird that Guild doesn't have a hard case for all of their product lines...especially their budget line.

About the guitar...it's my first acoustic (only been playing for about a year) so I really don't have anything to compare it to but I love it. My other guitars are a 2006 MIM Strat and a new PRS SE Standard. I got the Guild because my brother (who is a professional guitarist and music producer) recommended the brand. He swears by Guild and uses them in all his recordings. Only had it for a few days, but I am very happy with the guitar. One thing that strikes me is the quality of the tuners. I tuned it up out of the box and after three days of playing it I haven't had to touch it. Plus the open gears look awesome.

I actually have one of those Guild branded black cases in the first Ebay case link -with the blue lining.
The OM240E is one of the nicest guitars you can buy in that price range and I've used it to play out many times and not felt like
it was a compromise over the F30 - just different.
I have the non cutaway and it is a really nice guitar regardless of it's overseas build and price point. This model has been out
for some time now so there are many satisfied customers. Me being one of them. I wish it had a 1 3/4 nut though.

Hope you find a case you like.

I ended up getting a Gator case from Sweetwater.

Great. Glad you're protecting your guitar which was the point anyway. How's the OM240 working out for you? They such a great deal and just an amazing guitar when you compare to others at the same price point.
