Hi all,

just a short question: since 2 days I AM A HAPPY OWNER OF A BB!! Got it on occasion - never heard of BBs before - tried it and immediately fell in love with it´s tone... Serial is CL000946, would be interested if its a model from RI around 98 and if its got the Seymour Duncans on it or already the fender "imitations" of SD-1..
Will post image certainly later.

Thanks alot!

Welcome Arcasdad! Congrats on your acquisition of a great Guild guitar! When you get a few photos up we should be able to tell which pickups you have by the spacing of the 2 tilt adjustments screws on the bass side of the pickups. The rest of the group should be chiming in soon. Again, Congrats and Welcome to LTG!

Congratulations! I love mine! If it's a '98, it should have the Duncan SH-1's on it.

Welcome, and yes, pictures, please!

it's amazing, almost new, no scratches, frets without signs of usage... can't believe it!

Hello arcasdad,

Welcome! That particular Bluesbird was completed during 1997 and it should have 2 Seymour Duncan pickups as original equipment.

Sincerely,

Thank you very much Hans! Just found the original manual in the case (had no time since travelling back to have a serious deep dive on the instrument...). Just saw it, played it, got it from a great dealer I very much appreciate.
Tried to post pictures, didn't work out, but I'll give it another try as soon as I found out how to do it...

More pictures

I finally made it to upload some more pics. Thanks to all of you for your warm welcome and Hans Moust for your immediate response (I heard from your book on those guitars) - much appreciated!

Here is now a link to my flickr album with some more shots of the guitar (still have no clue how to attach an image directly in a post!?).

Again, til now I haven't had the time to really get my hands on it more intensely.... This is the first Guild I ever had the opportunity to play and I am amazed. The warmth, clarity and "percussiveness" are awesome - and I only tested it thru an Line6 Amp in the store without any adjustments... Will plug it next into my (physical) vintage tube amp and an Apollo interface with the Chandler GAV19T plug-in and share my experience.

Regards
