Anybody used this luthier? I know the name has come up on at least one list I'm on, but I don't remember which. I'm thinking of taking my 12-string to him to eliminate an octave buzz at the saddle on some strings. My guess is it needs ramping, or a slight raising of the saddle.

I've worked with Mike Mascagna before (aka guitar works) and have been very pleased with his work. He's done some fabulous setups for me. He also fixed a center seam top crack so that you'd never even know it happened. He also gets bonus points for sending me home with my guitar when he didn't think work was necessary.

I've basically gone back and forth between Mike, and Paul Neri (in Clinton) over the years depending on where I lived and worked. Now that I'm out in the boondocks again. I'm back with Paul. But I recommend Mike as highly.

Chris,
Thanks. I've used Paul Neri since he was working with George Youngblood on Fitch St in New Haven, followed him after he split with George, but Clinton from Hamden is about a half a day there and back, especially if I spend any time with him. He does great work, so it's good to hear that you recommend Guitar Works. I've got a few guitars that need some work, so I guess I'll soon have my own opinion of his work.
Thanks,
Brad
PS Are you going on the LTG factory tour?

I kind of blew on the factory tour. I was initial very interested, but then I had to work out some scheduling details. And by the time I had it all figured out, I had already missed the deadline to sign up! Kind of a bummer, but on the bright side it's one less thing for me to worry about.
