Heys Folks! I own a couple Guild M-30's and an M-20 as well... Just bought my first Spruce toped vintage Guild! Anyone know much about the F-47? I won a real played in worn one off Ebay today, looks like it's been played 5,000 hours on stage.... I hope it won't be too costly to get great playability.... It just looked like it had some KILLER MOJO... I'll post some pics later when I get home.

Anyways, I'd love any info on this model if you guys have any? Is this a rare model, did they make a lot of them? Anyone else own one? Thanks!

I was watching this one on the Bay, too, and it looked like you might have had some competition. But you won! It has some age and wear but your thought about the "mojo" is probably right on. After all, Guilds were "made to be played," if I recall.
A bit of TLC/set-up, etc., will go a long way and you'll have a real gem on your hands.
Give me a jingle if you change your mind.

Enjoy,
Joe

Hello, nice git, looks like it's got some sweet mojo as well... Very cool... Not sure of the year yet, I think it's a 65... Next week when it's in my hands I'll check....

Learn something new every day. Hans PM'ed me for more info and it turns out mine is a 69. S/N was copied on the lable incorrectly. Still 2 pivotal years for me. '67 I enlisted, '69 I returned to "The World".

In uniform.

Thank you for your service. I lucked out by seeing the draft cancelled in '73 just in time for my 18th. Still had to register though. I was a young peacenik and music was a universal recognition device back then, wasn't it? In retrospect I now believe our reasons to be there were truly noble although the execution was flawed. Anybody who put themselves on the line way back then deserves our respect today.

Anyone know what type of spruce Guild generally used on these?

Cool 69 Bluegrass!
