Hey folks. I'm new to the forums, but a lover of Guild gear. I've been scouring the internet to find a Thunderbass head (and possibly a matching cab) for myself, but I'm having trouble differentiating between the different models. I see a 1-B, Quantum, ThunderStar, some have cream tolex, and some have black... and I can't figure out what the defines each amp and cab combination. (i.e. wattage, tube types, etc) All I've been able to find is the Quantum is 200 watts?
Can anyone help me breakdown the basic specs of each model? Or link me to a thread that has these details? Many thanks in advance!

Welcome, I`m not sure if you`ve looked at this thread, but it has some great info
and pics of Guild amps. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5831

Goodluck !

Yes! That's actually the thread that I stumbled upon that introduced me to this site. There are some great photos, but I am still left with some of the same questions posted above.

Welcome. I don't recall that there is any one concise location for the answers to your questions. I do seem to recall that there are ThunderBass models that were listed in catalogs and either not produced or are extremely rare. CapnJuan, our resident amp expert has left us and is presumably playing guitar and fixing amps for the Heavenly Choir. default who is trying to fill his shoes (and doing a wonderful job) should be along shortly. There are a couple of other folks who might chime in to help.

Cool. I look forward to hearing the responses. I just get curious when I see ads like below because there aren't any specs listed about each model. My guitar player plays with a 50watt Pro Reverb, so while really want to score one of these Guild bass amps, I need to be looking for the more powerful model, whichever that may be.
