Man, he can just rip it, can't he?

Oh, an understatement! I actually love his live work better than his studio work... it goes to a whole new level live. I owe my Guild love to him, actually... thanks to An Acoustic Evening.... and his quote that there was nothing better than a Guild 12-string!

Thanks for posting that, good tune. Think that was an F412 though, sunburst sides = maple? Saw Joe a couple years ago and it was a truly great show. Thought it was like seeing the "next" Clapton, that good. He take a lot of hits and criticism and for the life of me I don't see why, he is a great player...

Good catch, Bill! I totally didn't notice the glow of the sides! I know he played an F512 on the Acoustic Evening DVD, and I just assumed he was going to be using that one for this. What was I thinking? It's Joe... the guy's guitar collection is beyond compare! :highly_amused:

Joe is one of the few performers, of the many I've seen, that left me in complete awe. I've seen him live twice, and both times were spiritual experiences! The only other person I felt that in awe of was Tommy Emmanuel. I just ignore the haters. Check out his video for The Great Flood live from Shepherd's Bush. Such finesse on that LP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-7drgQYvBM

No doubt this has floated around this forum before, but this interview with him from last year (right after Acoustic Evening came out) has him discussing the Guild F512 he used! http://www.acousticmagazine.com/interviews/joe-bonamassa/
