Hi skinny; you're right, mid/late '50s and right again on the asking price.

Here's a link to an LTG thread on the Masteramp in which our member chester posted links to pics of his amp ... just about museum-quality. Also, this article in Premier Guitar by Wallace Marx is about the best on-line discussion of the Guild Masteramps.

Because the early versions do not have beefy power and output transformers, they are in the 3W-6W output range and rely on strapping 50L6 tubes together. Tons of charm though.
