I am looking for specifications and history information about the Guild F30-ABHG. It is a sunburst F30, made in Westerly, with serial number AF3004xx.

In viewing the Guild serial number timeline (I'm not certain that I am reading it correctly), it looks as though the guitar might be from 1996. Definitely Westerly, from the label.

Can anyone contribute information about this model? Thanks.

Hello fineinjacket,

Should be able to help you with the dating part:

The F-30-AB-HG you're looking at is an instrument from 1998 with a Antique Burst - High Gloss finish. It was indeed made in Westerly, R.I.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks also to Hans for the dating information.

I'd like to know some details about the construction and reputation of the 1990's F30 reissue:

1. Is it built to the same specifications (wood quality, bracing, proportions) as the 1960's vintage F30?

2. How do Guild players rate the late 1990's F30 reissue for tone and playability.

3. Can anyone recommend a good source for a Guild case for this model?

4. What does the HG part of the serial number denote?

This is a great group. Thanks!

Sorry I missed the "High Gloss" part of your original reply. Thanks again.

I'm still interested to know:

2. How do Guild players rate the late 1990's F30 reissue for tone and playability.
