Been trolling for a single pickup ES-175... only about 1 in 10 people want the single pickup model over the double, but I am that 1.

It has to be a humbucker model for a few reasons, altho I love P-90s.

For me it is a narrow window, 1963-65. Before '63 you pay the "PAF premium" but after '65 you get into that narrow neck scene up thru '69 or so and the single bucker was over by 1971.

If there was normal width neck in 70/71 I guess I would consider that.

Seen a few but @ hurtful prices.... but, no this isn't a Gibson thread that wandered over to the wrong board, just the preamble to a simple question:

What model is the full depth Guild with a Guildbucker... I am guessing there was natural and darkburst... maybe will troll for one of those if neck width is up at the 1 11/16th scene.

Thanks

The CE100 Capri was available with a single neck humbucker. It's more or less the equivalent of a Gibson ES175 in that it is a sharp cutaway laminated maple archtop with a mahogany neck. The body's a hair wider on the bottom, and not quite as deep as the Gibson - but still nowhere near thinline depth. They came in sunburst and natural.

Guild humbuckers, whether the smaller 60's ones, or the larger 70's/80's ones, were always brighter than the Gibson variety though.

I have no idea whether the single pickup version was ever phased out, but somebody on here would know for sure.

I have a twin pickup natural finished 1960 one with the twin Franz (P-90 alike) pickups, and it's a beautiful, great playing and sounding, quality guitar.
