Seems to be a glaring absence of Mr. Lee of late. What gives?

Jim?

Glad to know you're still kickin'. Sorta strange not to see you're input lately. Hope you're well, and everything's good.

Well I'll tell ya Richard. I had knee surgery back in the beginning of August and all I could do was sit around for about 6 weeks, then another month of taking it very easy. I had gotten overweight and very out of shape. To complicate matters, I really need mobility to do my job and that gave me little choice as I'm not ready to throw in the towel at work just yet, but have to be able to do stairs, ladders and a lot of walking. I'm eligible for full retirement, but still enjoy my job and they pay me way more than I'm worth.

I had to do some pretty extensive physical therapy to rehab the knee and that has sort of led into an exersize regimen. Also during that time, I've rediscovered the game of golf. So much of my time has been spent working out, playing golf, reading and working. I haven't had much time for LTG, but I sure feel a lot better.

For you older members, my surgeon strongly recommended an elliptical machine, so we bought one. Virtually no impact on the joints and a fabulous cardio exersize.....it's made all the difference. At 53, when you have a surgery like that, you really have two choices.......allow yourself to go downhill fast, or try to get busy restoring your mobility. I've taken the opportunity to attempt to get back to where I was about 10 years ago. The old golf game is even starting to come around.

There are a couple of young guys I work with that have asked me to teach them the game so I've enjoyed getting back out there with them, and with my sons on the golf course. Been taking the young guys at work to the driving range a couple of times a week and we've been playing every Friday. :D Shot an 81 last Friday!!!

I have missed you guys a great deal.

I'm doing good, Jim, for an older fellow.
Still feeling the good vibes from those all-too-short Texas visits with you and Kerry and Ken and Pam this fall.
We should do it again when we can all stay longer.

Keep on keepin' on and take care of yourself,
Joe (and Cindy) :D

I can identify with that, and I didn't have surgery, I just got old and lazy, and fat.

I've lost nearly 50 lbs in the last eight months, and I feel a lot better, and my blood pressure's gone down considerably, and I can now breathe and tie my shoes at the same time.

Life is good.......and uh, oh yeah, I don't know about GV52's cause I don't have one, and I haven't played one, but, I think the DV72 is a dressed up GV52, and if that's the case, then they're great guitars.

Keep up the good health thing. People depend on you.

Richard
