Wow, TJ. That was a little rough for me. At this time in his life, how poignant is this song? Bless you, Glenn! Thanks for all the good times and great music in my life. I love the "healing" word change..... Thanks for posting the link.

It has that same "summing things up" feeling that Johnny Cash and "Hurt" did, which if you haven't seen, please look up. Over the years, Glen has provided just a ton of musical memories for me. He's had his ups and downs, but as a talent, I don't know that he has ever disappointed.

Sweet and bittersweet, all rolled into one. :) :(

*I wonder if Glen knows how I literally wore out the vinyl of Gentle on My Mind when I was learning it....
even won a few bucks on stage once when someone in the audience bet that I couldn't remember all the words.

Thanks for the link. I'll go back for more.

My wife is on most every local casino mailing list.

Flyer arrived in yesterday's post, Glen Campbell, playing about 35 mi up the hiway, on Mar 2.

Jackson Browne wrote that when he was sixteen. Glen Campbell is seventy-five.

Great tunes, great art, transcend time.

What a wonderful poignant performance. Thanks for the post.

Great clip! That song is from "Meet Glen Campbell", the CD before his latest, "Ghost on the Canvas". I highly recommend both!

It’s been awhile since a song put a lump in my throat. It astonishes me how someone with talent can say so much with just a few lines and simple words. I had not thought of this song in a very long time.

Anyone who’s had the blues can relate to the fact that sometimes it seems like a song was written about or for you. I can really relate to this one and Glen & Mark both did magnificent jobs on the cover.

That was really great. I never had the pleasure to interact with Guildmark. By everything I've heard/read, he was a wonderful & talented guy.

That was great, I loved that. Thanks for the link, I'm gonna try to learn that . I'm gonna check out Jackson Brownes too :)

I've already learned to play it today. It's an easy riff that sounds more complex than it really is.

It will be one of my regulars for awhile to come.

I sure appreciate the link also Terry!!!
