I've posted a couple of times about Fountains of Wayne. We've seen them three times live, and their shows never fail to impress and entertain.

Rewards include some interesting stuff: His '73 Gibson ES-335 ($5,000); house show for you and 25 of your friends ($1,000 and up, depending on location); guitar tracks for your recording project ($600).

He really is a tasty guitarist - his work always supports the music, but still shows great talent and virtuosity.

FoW is a great band. I've seen them a few times, and they never disappoint. I'll kick in a few shekels!

I have seen him at the Dr. Without Borders benefits in the city. Stones Fest, Dylan Fest, Petty Fest...he is fantastic. Got the Kickstarter email today today too.

I believe that Fountains of Wayne were really the players for the 'One-ders' in my favorite movie, "That Thing You Do!"

They're not the band playing it (the title song), but FoW's bassist and brilliant songwriter, Adam Schlesinger, wrote it and ended up with Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations for it.

My kids were little when we all saw it and they loved it. And I fell in love with Liv Tyler. Sigh.

Jody Porter's Kickstarter campaign succeeded, so his next solo project will get made.
