Well here it is...my first studio recording...thanks Steve and Nichelle for all the help. So cool to learn about the recording process and to hear what a difference bass and drums make! And of course the guitar you hear is my D25! We'll be going back in to add some lead guitar and another harmony and snip out the extraneous stuff...hope you like...btw the accompanying pic is one of those "upside down" novelties...flip it around for a surprise...

Thanks, Tony...Steve is on drums and bass...my friend Nichelle is singing the harmony...she sounds great, I think!
I should have known. Steve sings higher than that :)

Tony I will tell Steve you admire his alto....you should check out the youtube video of him doing you sexy thing...
I've already had the pleasure of watching that gem. Just my luck, I finally take a class with a guy teacher hoping we might actually play a song that falls into my half-octave range and he sings higher than the gal teachers.

Real nice work and a good tune too. I'm surpised at how full the guitar sounds, and how well it carries the rhythm tracks with just drums, bass. That's a Guild for ya. I'm anxious to hear the finished mix.

Sounds great! Fun song with nice high "pop" energy. Have you compared what you're writing now as compared to what you were writing before you started taking classes? joan

Thanks so much for the kind words, folks! Yep, the D25 definitely cuts through...and Joan, I think for sure the classes have helped me approach the songwriting with a more workmanlike approach...learning to write in fourths, for instance...or in the roman numeral (I IV V etc...) system. Inspiration is overrated. And don't take that the wrong way...I'm being a bit flippant...but really it's very motivating to have an assignment and a deadline. I'm sure most writers would agree!

Steve told me tonight that he thought your song was outstanding. Pretty high praise from somebody who knows whereof he speaks.
