Here's the view from my hot tub this morning; I love Michigan in the winter:

How about if I just stay warm & wet? 103 degrees F to be exact, that's where the winter spa temp is set!

Mama Dread's favorite place to be when it's snowing!

Great shot, and Mama Dread is a smart woman! How cool would it be to be sitting the hot tub with the snow falling. Somehow, the snow keeps missing us in Minnesota. Weird.

Last year, we got 20+ inches of snow in one storm in mid-December ...

... and this year, we could have golfed on New Year's Eve.

I'm jealous. I thrive in the cold and snow and don't look forward to our Ohio River Valley summers. Thought for sure we'd have a snowy winter by now

Sure wish we'd get some of that up at Lake Tahoe!

When I was growing up in Indiana, my dad and I used to drive up to Michigan to ski at Caberfae, Boyne, and Knubs Nob (sp?). Great fun!

All you upper midwesterners can have some of our snow  .
In the mile high city we've already surpassed last years totals, and we still have our spring snows a-comin'.
Though up in the hills (ski areas) they need the snow. Not as bad as Tahoe has seen it this year though.

I too have skied Caberfae when visiting cousins in Cadillac from Chicago area. What great memories!!

My father spent 18 months in Iceland in WW II. They could swim all year in the hot spring that was right next to (and heated) the barracks. He said the 10 feet or so from the barracks to the spring was always invigorating.
I'm wondering if the trip to and from the hot tub is also invigorating.

Fortunately, the spa is only about 8 feet from the basement door...

Invigorating is when we get out of the spa and run around in the snow, then back in the spa. REAL invigorating is when we get out of the spa, lay down and make "snow angels" then get back in the spa
