I notice on my 94 black RI (formerly LA's) that there are scratches you can see but can't really feel. Are these guitars base coat clear then shot with color like a car is?
On my black Gibbos the paint scratches and you see wood. In a few spots there are dings down to bare wood on the S100 but for the most part it looks like the black scratched off and there's paint below it.
If that's as confusing as it is to articulate, I apologize...
