This was a pretty fun project... Someone bought a new Coronado bass and had me fit it with 2 starfire /bisonic pickups. Turned out awesome.

Wow, that is very cool Curtis! I still want to do a tractor build somewhere along the way.

Berry Oakley, bassist for the Allman Brothers, used a Guild SF II bass with Bisonics pickups. He replaced the SF II in '69, with a '66 Fender Jazz bass. Later, he had one of the Bisonic pickups taken out of the Guild and installed in the bridge position of his Jazz bass. I guess the combination was so Low, so Cool, so Stump-pullin' Good that they started calling the Bass, 'Tractor'!

That's all I know on a Wed. morning.....HH

Nice Curtis! I might have missed the continuation of that thread, but what happened to that vintage Starfire bass you bought a while ago?
