Bought a new F 250 deluxe as a take with guitar.beautiful looks, excellent sound.Changing to unbleached bone ,saddle ,nut, and bridge pins. My question is, i cant seem to find upgrade open back tuners,to replace what came with guitar.Everything im seeing is too short posts . grover 97n ,V 97 .want gold, not looking to spend 180.00 plus on waverlys.

The guitar already comes with a bone nut and bone saddle. (EDIT: Might be actually Graphtec NuBone). But it sounds like you prefer the look of unbleached bone. The bridge pins however are Ivory Colored Plastic with Black Dot only.
Might be difficult finding matching gold tuners to those Guild 18:1 tuners, as the footprint also seems to be a bit different?

GOTOH SE700 in the right color/button combination would be the one I can think of, but they are only 15:1 and the fottprint might not be an exact match. Need to compare the GOTOH drawings and the Guild tuners.

thank you. and the description ive got for the guitar lists the saddle and nut as nubone. misprint?? idk.but i do prefer the color of unbleached,+ the fact that unbleached is a bit harder (denser).ill.look into the gotoh,s. These tuners arent terrible, but i find im tightening the gear screws too often

Good question. I only quoted what the Guild webpage shows.

But interesting enough, German webpages show indeed "Graph Tech NuBone" for nut and saddle!
And I checked Sweetwaters page and it also shows:

Same happened at least for the P-240 and D-260, Guild webpage shows "bone", all others show "NuBone".

So I guess the Guild webpage is wrong... Might be time for somebody to ask Guild for clarification...

yeah, ive got the question submitted to guild. Guitar is really nice, but nubone is just another polymer manmade product. All my guitars have had ox or cattle bone replacement done. But i really like the look of the unbleached, especially against the antique burst finish. I did find grover open back gold tuners. it appears as i will have to fill in the top mounting screw holes ,ans redrill for new tuners. ive had to do this on two other guitars. no way anyone could tell lol. Thanks for all the input. I do love my guild guitars.

I have a set of Waverlys I can send you for $120. Used exactly 2 days before I replaced them with grovers just because I like the bigger buttons.

Hey I might be interested in the Waverly's. Please send me pics? I need to replace the tuners on my SF-4 and can't get Sta-tites right now anywhere. Thanks!
