No doubt, some fine looking performers but that guitar is something else, too. I don't think I've ever seen an F-100 before (relative Guild newbie that I am). I need to educate myself a bit about them. I take it this was a standard model as opposed to a special order?
Bob, I'm surprised. Somone joined recently and had one he ordered with 2 pickguards. I think it's actually a "JF100" which westerlyguildguitars lists under "special editions", but I welcome correction from anybody who's more knowledgable.
Yup. Its a JF-100C. The C is supposed to indicate that it had a hand-carved neck. Funny enough, I've never seen a JF-100 that didn't have the hand-carved neck. I have seen D-100's that don't have the carved neck, however.
I'm not sure what 'special edition' indicates on westerlyguildguitars, but it was a standard model (albeit made in small quantities) that was produced in Westerly for several years. Some Guild documentation falsely listed that the D-100s and JF-100s were made in Nashville at the Custom Shop, but that was just a miscommunication, it would seem.
I might be selling mine soon, actually. Its time to save up for a new car!
