Picked up an '83 G212 recently. It's got the same tuners as my '81 D25. These tuners with the Guild sticker logo were quite common during this period, but I've never been sure about the make. I've seen references to these being Ping tuners, but those examples look slightly different, with the screw hole on the bottom. Perhaps a variation on the Schaller M6? Not quite an exact match, but close.

Also, you'll note the "Z" stamp on the back, designating a factory second, but I can't seem to find any reason for this. Fit and finish appear flawless.

I've got the same on my '81 D-46. Always heard they were Schallers.

They still work perfectly after all these years.

They really do work nicely. I prefer them to the Grovers that became the Westerly standard later on.
