I stay away from threads that deal with passing, too personal.

I didn't take part in the Dread Thread and I don't know the outcome - now NA - but I do know this.

He was passionate about cooking like me. Shared recipes, and frankly in life, you can't do much better than cook and eating good food with those you love and care about.

I'm making a giant roast today and I'm thinking about him although I never met him, but he will be remembered, more than some kings lost to history, at least for the time being.

And he was the staunchest defender for the D-25, Louise, that you were ever likely to meet, and for this he's never going be forgotten here, sharing his life, serving in the navy, playing guitar for old folks. A truly solid citizen, I only wish I could have been all those things. Props.

I only want the mandolin ;[]

He had really good taste in those too, just like me. Mandolins don't get any better than a Army/Navy Gibson for me, I like em plain, not showy like an F5.

And that bug.

And pretty nurse.

A person truly blessed, I hope I'm writing this too early, but if I'm not he made the world a better place to be, and at the end of the day, that's all we can strive for.
