Could someone tell me the difference between the 150D and the 175?
So, the 150 is a bit narrower and "mapleier" with Fender pickups -vs- Guild pickups and spruce top for the 175, if I read you correctly. Thanks! The Westerly 150D has a 16" wide all-maple 3 3/8" deep body with Fender HB-1 pickups. The 175 has a 17" wide maple body with laminated spruce top that is 3 3/8" deep. Pickups were Guild HB-1 pickups in the 70s until it was discontinued in the early 80s. Both have 24 3/4" scale lengths with bound rosewood fingerboards. Also note that some 175s in the 1980s had soundposts. That's it in a nutshell. Check out my X-150D and X-175 as well as GAD's X-175 review for more info.
