I gigged with one regularly for several years. ... A great guitar. Loved it ! Bought another one on Ebay. It must have taken 'guitar growth hormones' or maybe just worked out alot. It was noticeably bigger all over; neck shape, body depth, etc. Another great guitar but not for me ... Sold it. In both cases I was amazed at the quality for the price.

Nice guitar for the money. I had three over the years: Black, Blond and Burst. I didn't notice any difference in design between them. The guitars tend to have less tonal range than a comparastive Guild. The low end (bass) is not as rich and full sounding as a Guild and the upper end is a bit sharp. The pickups a good sounding Goldtones. The guitar is worth the money and my comments are to be put in perspective as a comparable Guild is $1200 or more.

If your looking for a full body guitar at a reasonable price the X155 is hard to beat.

Nice guitar, but like most modern Korean guitars the DeAromnds were over-built which tends to make them a bit lifeless compared to the Guilds they were copied from. The X155 sounds more like a slightly dead flat top, then an archtop. I've got one, replaced the goldtones with P-90 Antiquitys and added a B6 Bigsby.

I also have no idea what Kenmore is talking about. The only change I know of was the headstock went from 3 hump to one and they dropped the "Guild" name from the truss rod cover. I pretty sure the dimensions never changed.

I had the X135, and exactly the same comment : it sounded like a dead-ish laminate flattop, not much like an archtop. OK guitars if you don't pay too much.
