new here...just bought my 1st Guild, a Savoy, great guitar!

I also have an interesting guitar I purchased a cpl yrs ago from my local Mom-n-Pop shop for a song...........

a D by G fullsized "Jazzbox" that's made for amping due to its all laminated maple construction, and twin DeArmond USA humbuckers.
it's a great Blues/Boogie guitar!

it's also been absolutely issue free, and plays like a dream.

Welcome Bender 4 life, you came to the right place. How 'bout some pictures of the Savoy?
I had a Dearmond x-155 when I joined here, too. I sold it t fund my first Guild, and X-170. I love my X-170, but I did like that X-155. As you say, a great blues machine; and I didn't really care if it got dinged up.

Thanks Dennis......here's the Savoy...it's an amazing guitar for its cost.

1st 2 pics are mine, last 2 from Sweetwaters gallery......i'm totally in love w/this guitar, including the open-back Grover "Stay-Tite" tuners......rock solid firm, yet smooth on the rare occasion i've tweaked the tuning (maybe 2x since i've owned it). last night I finally treated the fretboard & bridge+saddle-piece w/my own special oil mix.......man it looks good!
And it sounds even better than it looks......

The Savoy looks fabulous. Glad to hear it sounds as good as it looks. Enjoy!
I'm still waiting for the opportunity to try one out.
