Hi Gang! I recently bought an '86 D212M but I'm having trouble finding information about it. I flat out cannot find it in the Blue Book values listing nor the companion CD. It looks to me an awful lot like a D25-12 in all mahogany. Is that what it is essentially? Guild listed the G212 as a twelve built on a D40 body. So I wondered just what this beauty might be. It sounds great and plays wonderfully and before anyone starts licking his chops it's already promised to my friend and jamming buddy if I ever manage to find that oh so elusive G312 that I really wanted.

Cheers!

According to Beesley, the D-212 was made from 81-86, and features a solid spruce top and laminated arched mahogany back, similar to the D-25 (I wouldn't be surprised if the top was stained, as were many (most?) D-25s from that era). Can't help you with value... if she sounds good to you, she's priceless.
